General description
Vertical automatic spooler machine is used to produce steel wire compact coils of smooth, ribbed or indented wire, to be used in products as reinforcing welded mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry.
Vertical automatic spooler machine is our high-level solution for the cold rolling and the stretching machines that can works with fixed or collapsible spools of different dimensions and weight capacity.
In this spooler the axis of the spool is oriented vertically, and all the operations are done fully automatic by the machine without the intervention of the operator (load and unload of the spool, winding, wire cutting, wire sample taking and wire insertion).
The final product can feed any type of welding reinforcing mesh machine or cut and bend equipment.
The machine has an ergonomic and compact lay-out with all main components fitted inside the compact body. This characteristic together with the use of V-profile belts transmission allows a remarkable reduction of noise and dust dispersion in the environment and increase the level of safety guaranteeing maximum ergonomics for the operator.

Another advantage for the operators are the maintenance procedures because all the main components such as electric, hydraulic and other systems are conveniently arranged inside the same body with the right space in order to simplify any operation on the machine.
The shape and engineering details of our lines allow to produce high-quality coils packaged in fixed or take a part spools with adjustable weight up to8 tons. Normally, the coils produced are used for reinforcing mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry.
Promostar have developed three different models: the SIRIO FCS for fixed spools, the SIRIO ICS for collapsible spools and the SIRIO HF that can work with fixed and collapsible spools.
Collapsible spools must be considered as integral part of the spooler, since they allow the production of strapped coils in automatic way.
All the models above can work with different spool weight depending on the customer needs. In the fully automatic plant, this type of spooler is coupled with our overhead manipulator that working in collaboration with the spooler made the load of the empty spool and the download of the full spools and the disassembling in case of collapsible spools.
Other devices like rolls or chains conveyors, automatic strapping units or labelling and weighing system can be integrated in our lines to make the system completely automatic.
In addition to the advantage of no need any operators, there is a considerable increase of the productivity. The productivity is optimized when medium-high diameters are used or with high speed, cases in which the spool changing frequency increases: the stopping time due to the spool changing is only of 90-120 seconds.
The automatic spooler allows to obtain a perfect shape into the final compact coils, and in the case of stretched material, the winding of the spiral layer to layer quality is guarantee.
Our wire spooler machine is normally parts of our cold rolling, stretching and wire drawing lines but can be also integrated in any kind of existing lines.
