General description
Overturning spool device is used to turn from horizontal into vertical axis (and the opposite) the spools (empty or filled) coming from the spooler of the cold rolling or drawing line.
Overturning spool device commonly helps to solve handling issues in those situations where for instance the spools are produced in horizontal way while instead the payoff on the wire mesh machine is in vertical position.
Overturning spool device is normally installed as a stand-alone machine closer to the spooler where spools come out or as an alternative, it can be integrated on the automatic discharging rolls conveyor: this is in fact the typical installation when spools (or even coils) , just produced by a vertical spooler, have to be overturned 180° in order to get clockwise spools (instead of counterclockwise).
Another application dedicated for collapsible manual spools integrate the overturning device in the manual strapping station that allow the operator to easily perform the manual strapping and to handle the spool (opening / closing).
