Collapsible Spools – Take A Part Reels

collapsible spools – take a part reels

General description

Collapsible spools – Take a part reels are used to collect the wire after the cold rolling, drawing or stretching process into spools or reels for the production of strapped compact coils.

Collapsible spools – Take a part reels can fit on different types of spooler (horizontal and vertical), having different dimensions and loading capacities.

Collapsible spools basically consist of two flanges and a central core made in solid metal carpentry.

In the case of reels with manual disassembling for horizontal spoolers, after completing the strapping operations, the upper flange is removed manually by the operator using a crane. Then with a special plier, it is possible to remove the coil produced from the central core (that is an integral part with the lower flange) and proceeding again with the re-assembling of the spool following the reverse path.

In the case of reels with manual disassembling for vertical spoolers, after completing the strapping operations, the upper flange (that is integrated with the central core), is removed manually by the operator through a suitable lifting device (bridge crane). The flange drags the barrel and consequently, also the produced coil; Together, are deposited by the operator in the unloading area. At this point, the operator, by connecting the lifting device (bridge crane) to dedicated hooks present on the reels that mechanically activates other levers, is able to release the central barrel from the compact coil and he can then bring the upper flange back with its barrel above the lower flange to perform the re-assembling of the spool.

In the case of reels with automatic disassembling for automatic vertical spoolers, after the strapping operations, the upper flange (that is integrated with the central core), is removed by the overhead manipulator (that is integrated on the automatic spooler). The flange drags the central barrel and consequently, the produced coil; Together are deposited by the manipulator in the unloading area. At this point, the manipulator hydraulically activating other levers, is able to release the central barrel from the compact coil and then brings the upper flange back with its barrel above the lower flange to automatically perform the re-assembling of the spool.

The final product applications are normally reinforcing mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry.
