General description
Wire spooler machines are used to produce steel wire compact coils or rolls on spider reels.
Wire spooler machines manufactured by Promostar are single unit able to wind the steel wire after the cold rolling process or the stretching process on fixed or take apart reels of different weight capacity.
The final product applications are normally reinforcing mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry for internal use in case of fixed spools or to be sold externally in case of the collapsible spools.
Thanks to more than 40 years of experience in the field of process of rolling, we manufacture high performances automatic turn key plants, that are tailor made on the needs of our customers in terms of layout, products sizes, mechanical properties, level of automation and which allow to finally reduce the transformation costs for each tons of steel wire produced.

Our wire spooler machines are divided in three categories depending on the level of automation and the kind of final product
VERTICAL AUTOMATIC SPOOLER MACHINE
STATIC COILER DEADBLOCK MACHINE
The horizontal spooler machine is our basic solution for the cold rolling machines that can works with fixed or collapsible spools. In this spooler the axis of the spool is oriented horizontally and all the operations (except the winding) are done manually by the operator (load and unload of the spool, wire cutting and wire insertion).
The vertical automatic spooler machine is our high-level solution for the cold rolling and stretching machines. In this spooler the axis of the spool is oriented vertically, and all the operations can be done automatically by the machine (load and unload of the spool, winding, wire cutting, wire sample taking and wire insertion). We have developed three different models: the SIRIO FCS for fixed spools, the SIRIO ICS for collapsible spools and the SIRIO HF that can work with fixed and collapsible spools.
Collapsible spools have to be considered as integral part of the spooler, since they allow the production of strapped coils in automatic way.
All the models can work with different spool weight depending on the customer needs. In the full automatic plant, this type of spooler is coupled with our overhead manipulator that working in collaboration with the spooler made the load of the empty spool and the download of the full spools and the disassembling in case of collapsible spools. Other devices like rolls or chains conveyors, automatic strapping units or labelling and weighing system of our supply can be integrated in our lines to make the system completely automatic; In addition to the advantage of needing no operators, there is a considerable increase of the productivity. The productivity is optimized when medium-high diameters are used or with high speed, cases in which the spool changing frequency increases.
The automatic spooler guarantees also, using stretched wires, to obtain a perfect shape into the final compact coils, where all spirals are winded on layer to layer mode.
The static coiler deadblock is our machine dedicated to the drawing wire lines. This kind of spooler collect the wire into the spider reels producing rolls of the desired weight. Can be configured with different devices upon the request of the customers like an additional reduction pass (also called skin-pass), a rotating spider platform or a multi position spider platform.
Our wire spooler machine are parts of our cold rolling, stretching and wire drawing lines but can be also integrated in any kind of existing lines.
