General description
Cold rolling steel wire lines are used to produce cold roll steel wire in coils and bars.
Cold rolling steel wire lines manufactured by Promostar are complete lines or just single unit able to cold roll the wire rod reducing the diameter to the desired size improving the mechanical properties according to the requirements requested by the market in terms of tensile strength, yield strength and final elongation normally called Agt. In the final step of the process of rolling, if requested, they add the positive ribbing or negative indentation to the wire for concrete reinforcing.
The final product applications are normally reinforcing mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry.
Due to the continuous improvement made by our internal research and development department, we are able to supply machines that, depending on the quality of the entry wire rod material, can produce exit wire material compliant to the worldwide norms for the concrete application like for example (but not only): ASTM A82, ASTM A706, ASTM A1064, DIN 488, SFS1300, IRAM/IAS U500, NCH1173, NBR7480, NCT2289, AS/NZS4671, NTP339 for the production of material according to the grade B500A, B500B, grade 60, grade 80, CA-50 and CA-60.

COLD ROLLING LINE LIBRASTAR
The Librastar model is our basic solution while the Vegastar offers more advantages at the level of flexibility: The main difference is that in the Vegastar line all the devices like mechanical descaler, wire drawing lubricant unit machine, bullblock, rolling cassettes and stress relieving device are installed in a single machine body making the machine more ergonomic for the operator and reducing in this way the level of noise and dispersion of powders in the ambient. Other advantages are the high customization and the number and type of devices that can be installed inside the Vegastar body.
The shape and engineering details of the lines allow to produce high-quality cold roll coils packaged in fixed or take a part spools. Normally, the coils produced are used for reinforcing mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry.

COLD ROLLING AND STRAIGHTENING LINE GEMINISTAR
The Doradostar is the basic solution to combine the cold rolling of the steel wire (using three motorized rolling heads) with the straightening process while the Geministar model, thanks to the presence of the horizontal bullblock, guarantees higher performances and more flexibility as product sizes.
The shape and engineering details of the lines allow to produce high-quality cold roll steel bars with excellent straightness and geometrical properties of the ribbed profile. The final product can feed any type of welding reinforcing mesh machine or cut and bend equipment.
Normally, the bars produced are used for reinforcing mesh, stirrups, cages and lattice girders for the civil and industrial construction, foundations and precast industry.
Compared to traditional straightening machines, these combined systems for bars production have the advantage of achieving a high production speed with a remarkable reduction in the handling operations of the raw materials (the wire rod is processed into bundles of ribbed or indented concrete wire bars in one single line, with an obvious optimization of in-house logistics).
Furthermore, the high flexibility of the Geministar model, allows to combine the line also with a wire spooler to produce fixed or collapsible spools (that can be added also at a later stage, reducing the initial cost of the investment). This means that with the same machine, you can switch the production from bars to fixed or collapsible reels.
